Sites web Cause de problème identifiée et réglée pour les sites web Aegir | Cause of the issue on Aegir web sites has been identified and fixed

La cause de la coupure de service présentement en cours pour les sites web Aegir a été identifiée:

Les sites web utilisant notre serveur "ceres.koumbit.net" et utilisant également le service de caching sur "cache.koumbit.net" expérimentaient un problème. Tous les autres sites sur le service Aegir étaient fonctionnels.

En effet, le problème émanait d'un résultat inattendu de l'intervention d'hier soir: après que le serveur "ceres.koumbit.net" ait été transformé en machine virtuelle, les serveurs de caching n'ont pas mis à jour l'adresse physique (l'entrée dans la table ARP) connue pour le serveur "ceres.koumbit.net". A cause de ceci, il était impossible pour les serveurs de caching de communiquer avec le serveur web.

La situation a maintenant été corrigée et les sites web s'affichent correctement.

The cause of the issue currently affecting Aegir web sites has been identified:

Web sites using the "ceres.koumbit.net" server and using also the caching service on "cache.koumbit.net" were having an issue. All other Aegir web sites were in working order.

This situation was an unexpected result from the intervention yesterday night: after having transformed "ceres.koumbit.net" into a virtual machine, caching servers never updated the physical address (entry in their ARP table) that they knew for the server "ceres.koumbit.net". Because of this the caching layer was unable to communicate with the web server.

This situation has now been corrected and the websites should be online.

Une coupure de service est présentement en cours sur certains sites du service Aegir. Nous nous efforçons présentement d'en identifier la cause pour pouvoir régler la situation.
